Just in case you missed Ovi being awesome... his tribute to the tourney, scoring off of a long rebound.

I think MTL finishes strong...Carey had a great game last night...I just realized I need to root against my southern team Nashville because their draft pick is our draft pick I don't know if I can watch hockey for a while...

Penguins GM admits, on Canadian TV, his team whines too much:
LINK /

quote:

“Your team whines quite a bit,” MacLean said to Guerin on-air Thursday. “It’s hurt you at times in key situations, and I think it’s hurt you at playoff time.”

“It’s definitely an area that we’ve identified as being an issue at times. And you know what? We’ve put ourselves in that position, and we have to be better. There’s no question,” Guerin admitted

Oh, and the Pens fell into a tie with the Caps for 3rd in the Metro, though they do still have a game in hand. This was a pretty good day for hating the Penguins.

The team takes the lead from their captain.

Meanwhile, the Capitals have 8 out of 10 games remaining against teams already in the playoffs or vying for contention, while the Penguins have 4 out of 11.

Yeah, I think the Pens hold off the Caps due to the schedule. The team that is getting nervous is the Islanders. The Isles now only have a 2-point lead over the Caps and Pens, and have played the same number of games as the Caps.

It's a dogfight to not play the Rangers.

The thing is you never know with the Penguins. As far as the dogfight you mention goes, the Islanders would love to play the Rangers. Would be phenomenal for TV ratings in the Tri-State area as well.
