That's about all of it I got to see. The first thing I heard was David Hobbs talking about how Hamilton was definitely going to have to pit. So naturally I assumed he'd nurse them until the end. If Seb could have closed the gap, he might have been able to destroy Lewis' tires but he'd be wearing his own tires in the process too.

He already was. In the closing laps of the race, Vettel seemed to be fighting massive understeer even though he was on fresher tires.

Hamilton obviously has no problem creating contact with his own teammate. What a douchebag.

Great start by Vettel. He's been doing that all year. The commentators don't like the two stop strategy, but I think it will work if Hamilton can't block Vettel.

Rosberg is squandering everything he's done this season. A theatrical "comeback" championship by Louis would be

The FIA needs to bring back refueling during the race. Ever since they banned it, it has really taken a toll on the strategy aspect of running the race. I remember watching Schumacher and Hakkinen battling each other during pit strategy to get tires and just enough fuel to go the distance in the closing laps of the race. Now, it is mainly based on tire wear, as well as the mandate that a certain number of sets need to be used during the race.

Actually, I wouldn't attribute it to bad strategy

Ferrari has already admitted they made a mistake with the 2 stop strategy.

I would give props to Lewis Hamilton being able to take his tyres the distance over 35+ laps.

He did do a magnificent job managing tires, no doubt about that.

Bring back the V10's and V12's and we would have to have a refuel during the race. Too bad that's the exact opposite of their current agenda.

Spoilers for those who want to wait until the 11:00 post Tour telecast on NBCS. It was a crazy finish.

Hamilton gets Rosberg on the last lap, destroying Rosberg's wing and forcing Nico to fall down to 4th.

Vestappen holds off Kimi for second. Vettel retired after a blowout on his left rear.

I didn't want to wait for the fricking Tour De France to conclude so I watched it live on Univision.

It was live in English on CNBC. Great ending. Weird podium interviews.

Great, maddening ending. Austrian fans are dumb and watched a different ending than I did.

Im so glad to see Hamilton back in the winners circle. That was a crazy last lap and the blame has to be all on Rosberg. I would love to be a fly on the wall in that room.

Also mad props to Pascal Wehrlein getting a point for Manor. Guy had a ridiculously good weekend. Nico's actions under investigation. Not sure any further action is warranted though. He paid the price.

What would've happened had Nico's car not broke and he held off Lewis? Would they have dropped Nico to second and placed Lewis first?

Depends. Sounds like the charge is not removing a damaged car from the track. If they hadn't touched, not sure what we'd be looking at.

And now they are saying it was a brake issue. Rosberg is such a little bitch!

When Will asked Toto, "when the brakes are out do you brake earlier or later in the corner?"

Will is awesome. I wish NBC would only allow him to speak during the broadcast.

I dvr'd and just finished watching. Holy shite. How does Mercedes or Petronas handle their abundance of wealth? Can they coexist longterm or is it a Thunderdome like Shaq vs Kobe?

Definitely give Nico the fault on this one, he was halfway through the turn and hand't even started to turn his wheels. If Hamilton hadn't started turning in, they'd prolly still be driving in a straight line right now. I don't know why they boo'd Hamilton on the podium but you could tell he didn't handle that response well.

I know...what a douche. I don't really like either one of them and was hoping they'd take each other out again. But Rosberg's an idiot if he thinks he can just run somebody off the road like that.

One good thing about Mercedes is that they let their drivers race each other. I think that's about to change though. Look for team orders in the future.
