Amazingly .. Garrett went to the Cowboys after that and did their radio for three or four years before Brad Sham came back ... Garrett actually got fired by 1280 because he overslept a UNO Sun Belt tourney basketball game he was supposed to call because he was hung over, I believe ..

This is just awful. I like having two sports stations to choose from. I like hearing LSU talk all year, especially in baseball season when there is nothing else nationally that interests me at that time of the year.
I realize that K-Love gets a lot of listeners, but there is no way that playing gospel music on 1210 AM can bring that station any money. I don't care how bad the shows were at times, the money that they paid for those spots had to be more than what a broadcast station can receive for gospel music on the AM.

George, I probably would smash my radio if I had to listen to what some of these preachers today are saying.

Damn! I listen to Jordy just about every morning while getting ready and when I can, I tune into Jimmy Ott's show. I know most people thinks BR sports talk radio sucks, but I think they do a good job appealing to the market they are reaching out to.

I understand if you don't wanna give too many details, but how was Otts career 'taken' from him? Did he get into some type of trouble or has online gambling stole all his customers?
Like someone else said, his sportsbook was one of the worst kept secrets in BR, but I've never heard of any bookers actually getting in trouble with the law...Hell, i used to work for a guy that half the BRPD booked with..

So There was a football pickem contest on 1210's website. I was in second place going into the last week of NFL games. Does anyone know what happened to this contest? I'm pretty upset.
