Format change on The Score 1210 AM...WSKR ?

Went to listen to The Score 1210AM WSKR this morning after coming in from New Year's, and the format is now Gospel? They are now calling the station the new Hallelujah 1210 AM....
The Score 1210 website does not even come up anymore. The format change did not happen until afer 12:00 1/1/12. I did not hear Buddy, Jimmy, Jordy or Tommy K. mention anything about it last week. Anybody know anything? Happy New Year...Roll Tigahs...!!!!!

It's still labeled as sports and talk on iheartradio.
But that's still weird. Though I have never listened to 1210 on Sunday's.

I know these format switches are usually done pretty quickly, but I'd think it would have leaked out before. Unless this is coming as a surprise to many of hosts.

Oh my gosh, what a pile of crap.......that station had some bad programming, but Ott was pretty good. It's pretty odd though that most of the hosts talked all last week about their on-air plans for national championship week.

That would be the secong time that the sports format did not work on 1210 AM. BAck in the earlies 90's I beleive it was the first sport formatted radio station in New Orleans. THey outbid WWL for the rights to Saints game. Dave Garrett used to call those games on 1210 AM.
I remeber listening to Rene Naddeau and Papa Joe Chavalie on that same station.

You would think the they would have waited until AFTER the NCCG to pull the plug on this. MFP and FISH and all those reg callers are gonna need some therapy.

The hosts -- who are independent contractors (outside of condon) -- would be the last to know .. They obviously wanted their December rent checks from them .. plus .. they didn't want to give them a week of bashing the station and boo hoo shows either .. this sounds like a typical format change to me ... I like jimmy .. could take or leave songy .. but both of those guys have had 20+ years to advance their careers and haven't .. for a number of reasons ... condon is no longer bringing in ratings or ad $$$ either ... that whole thing was just allowed by the various stations over the years and both Ott and Songy to get stale ... it is time for them to move on .. If true ... Best of luck to them both ...

I have called in like twice in the last couple years. Once CED quit callin there was no challenges left.
