Cowboys doing better than I expected after those first 2 games. Not sure if they can beat UCA and SELU to be in contention for the conference title though.

Colonels are 23in the Coaches Poll. But I honestly don’t give a shite about that. We need Fourcade to get better FAST to try and make a run at winning out.

I dont think McNeese can hang with Central Arkansas, but if they win every other game i think they will get an at large, assuming Nicholls loses another.

That Nicholls game is gonna kill McNeese

Watched the UCA game on tv against HBU. Bears are very fast on defense. Have been watching them since 2000 and this is definitely the fastest defense I've seen from them.

If the playoffs started this weekend this would be my projected bracket. I am not using bids or anything of that sort, just rankings and standings as of now.

Bolded are SLC and MVC teams. Teams with a star are automatic entries.

Weber St @ Illinois St, winner plays 1. James Madison*
Campbell* @ Sam Houston St, winner plays 8. Youngstown St
McNeese St @ Richmond, winner plays 4. South Dakota
Charleston Southern* @ New Hampshire, winner plays 5. Wofford*
Samford @ Elon, winner plays 2. North Dakota St*
Lafayette* @ Eastern Washington*, winner plays 7. South Dakota St
Western Carolina @ Western Illinois, winner plays 3. Jacksonville St*
Monmouth* @ Villanova, winner plays 6. Central Arkansas*

Just by looking at the stats you can make a very good if not great argument for North Dakota State being the best team in the country...

1st in Scoring Offense and Defense
1st in Rushing Offense
Top 5 in Total Offense
Top in TOP

QB is in top 5 of Efficiency

Oh yeah they are also playing in undoubtedly the best conference in any level in football. But until JMU loses, they will be ranked ahead.

The Columbia lions, historically inept, are undefeated this year. They already have a win over the 26 times national champion Tigers from Princeton. Penn softly pushed the great Al Bagnoli out the door to an administrative job a few years backj, and he is Columbia’s gain.

Think if SLU wins out, which would include wins over Sam, McNeese, and Nicholls in 3 consecutive weeks, that we have a chance at the playoffs at 8-3? The loss to Bethune-Cookman is going to haunt us.

Watching them with Figaro under center was like watching Les Miles's LSU teams the last few years. NWST were daring Figaro to throw the ball and he couldn't. Being one-dimensional would be the end of the season for the Colonels.
