I'd love to see Valhalla host it one of these days. Don't know if it ever happens though with them hosting the PGA championship and Ryder Cup with some consistency.

Merion did something similar.

I imagine being the superintendent at US Open course puts about 10 years on your life in a matter of months.

They'd birdie every hole. Even 5.

That job has to be a pain in the arse with as inconsistent temps have been here. 84 on Sunday and gonna have snow overnight tonight.

I've always wanted to watch a pro go out and tear up a local public course. Would be so fun to watch.

When the crowd isn't there, and money isn't on the line, they usually do.

I had a buddy who could get me on but I never got a chance.

One of these days. My dream job.

Definitely. Transition zone jobs can be very tough to manage. Gotta be quick on your feet.

I can't remember. I went on Sunday and there weren't any weather issues.

There's nothing like Pebble.

If you've been there...you know.

Ehhh, you can do better than pebble.

Sure, the views are second to none, but the course isn't the best.

It pretty dang Murrican though.

Honestly, I was rating it on the dramatic.

The views, the setting, the town.

Monterey is all golf. And for me, nothing beats playing against the rocky shores of the Pacific and the dramatic setting.

There are probably better "golf" courses - but when you are playing a round...it's Xanadu.

Merion will always be a special place to be as I grew up down the street and have played the golf course before.

Honestly.... there are too many great US open courses to choose from

Oakmont, Bethpage, Merion, Medinah, Pebble, Winged Foot, Pinehurt, Shinnecock, etc, etc.

Its almost impossible to pick the top 3 IMO. I

I know it hasnt hosted a US Open, but I love Whistling Straits. And Hazeltine... the 2016 Ryder Cup is gonna be awesome there. Bandon Dunes is awesome as well. Its supposedly hosting the US Open sometime in the future... like 2025. Valhalla is gonna be awesome for the PGA.

And then there are some lesser known courses like Crosswater, Chambers Bay, Pumpkin Ridge, Circling Raven, Pronghorn, Fishers Island, Alotian, etc.

Oh i love golf... suck and rarely play. But I love it
