Actually it's a home and home because its Iowa law they play each other on campus.

They then amended the law to force both schools to play UNI in alternating years.

home and homes are when two schools in different conferences and usually different parts of the country play once each at each other's home and it's assumed that after those two games, they won't play in the regular season again for years

Ohio State/Texas

I thought this was a great H/H series.

the game at the horseshoe was great, but the next season not so much.

i liked the ohio st/usc series.
first game was in the coliseum and that was probably the most anticipation around LA i can remember in a long time for a SC home game. The trojans thoroughly whooped the buckeyes. the following game at ohio st featured a great ending, and was by far the highlight of an awful season for SC.

Then Boise Oregon isn't home and home by your definition but others will say it is also Fresno Wisconsin isn't either.

Yeah, if you were a USC fan!

USC/Auburn was a good one. Probably one of the best in that time span.

This is what I had in mind--two teams that rarely play each other (LSU/VT, USC/OSU), as opposed to a rivalry game like Iowa/ISU, Clemson/USC, UF/FSU who play annually. I suppose the lines can blur to some extent.

I'm hardly a USC fan, and even though the games were not great, it was an exciting idea, IMO. Pretty boy West Coast team going into Arkansas, and vice versa. It's the type of game fans like to see, one's that only seem to occur on video games.
