Yeah, No one puts money in their kid's or wife's account.
Ever since the "no call" in the NFCCG, I take the NFL's standards with a grain of salt.

With gambling now legal in nearly every part of the country, it seems like NFL officials have been under more scrutiny this year. Whenever there's a bad call, you'll almost always hear at least one fan scream that the "fix" is in.
Although the NFL has never had to deal with an officiating scandal, there have definitely been instances where officials were approached and asked to manipulate games, according Dean Blandino, who ran the NFL's officiating department from 2013 through 2017.
During a recent interview on the Awful Announcing Podcast, Blandino was specifically asked if he was aware of any situations where an official might have been approached about fixing a game by impacting "a score or a stat line."
"We've had situations where people were approached," Blandino said. "We've always told our game officials because they're in hotels -- they're traveling around during the season -- we didn't want them wearing NFL-branded gear. We wanted them to be inconspicuous, because someone sees them and 'Oh, those are the NFL officials,' and then you never know. You don't know who you're gonna come across. And they know that they're supposed to go to NFL security if something like that happens, and that has happened in the past."

"The NFL has so many controls in place, just to become an official," Blandino said, via Awful Annoucing. "They look at all of your business associations. They look for conflicts of interest, all of that, bank accounts, everything. And there's checks during the season. And so, they'll look at if a game official has $10 in their bank account on Friday, and then they work a game, and now there's $100,000; that's a red flag, right? So, you're checking those things. You're monitoring the betting lines and looking at how calls impact those lines and are their individual officials that are involved in more of those calls. It's a massive, massive undertaking. Because what the league doesn't want and what we never wanted was a situation like what happened with the NBA, right?"

Note to self, stay at hotels near the home teams stadium, wear Footlocker uniform, and hope for the best.

I mean no shite they've been approached.
The real question is how many have accepted the approach.

The NFL can’t have officials going rogue and impacting the results goodell and the shield want.
They don’t care that officials are impacting the game more than ever before. They care if officials impact the game and cost the NFL.

I really, truly wouldn't be surprised if we hear something about the "no call" in the future, in a tell-all book or something.

Their faces are plastered across the TV every weekend. Not hiding who some of these people are

Right. That's how it works. Ask the Bidens.

My fandom for the NFL died that day. I now cheer for the Saints as I cheered for Hulk Hogan as a kid. It’s all scripted IMO.

Exactly. The nfl and NFL he saints died for me that day. That game was 100% fixed

There are props that would be so easy to manipulate.

So this is in place but a former Falcons player officiating a Saints/Falcons game isn't considered a conflict of interest to them?

It would really stoke the fire for the team in LA after being gone for 20 years. Just think...just think...Why, you're from around L.A., aren't you?"

u watched that LA Rams-New orleans game, and the No call, errr, flag thrown, ref picks up, non pass interference call. It will go down as one of the worst non calls ever. Even Ray Charles was doing the "flag throw" motion.
He's just getting ahead of it, before it finally comes out, that NFL rigs games.

Goff legit outplayed Brees from the 2nd quarter on, despite being down 10 points and having the loudest opposing crowd in NFL history.
Brees choked like a bitch in that game over and over again, the worst example being the 3 yard slant to MT13 from the 5 yard line that would have ended the game. Drew somehow threw it into the ground, setting up the infamous pass interference play right after. Would have never happened had Drew made one of the easiest throws of the season.
Yes it was probably the worst and most famous referee decision in NFL history, but we still had 10 chances to put the game away prior to that and another 3 or 4 chances to put the game away after that.
Payton kind of sucked with his game management and playcalling as well if I recall properly. Will never watch that game again so as my memory fades I lose all concept of how we lost it. Same with the 49ers Divisional game out in San Francisco. Two absolute heartbreakers. We'd have won Super Bowls both of those years.

They mean manipulating away from the NFL script?

Yep. Even a Supreme Court Justice got paid off and debt erased to not retire... Clarence Thomas. So of course an NFL ref, who's a high school teacher during the week, is going to get their palms greesed. Everyone has a price

I still don’t know how Saints fan didn’t riot that day
