You might want to count up that "damn near every black ESPN personality..." Except Herm Edwards, Tim Jackson, Len Elmore, Doug Glanville, Darren Woodson, Desmond Howard, Damien Woody, Andre Ware, Jay Williams, etc. What do they all have in common? They comment on sports not make everything about color of skin. Try again

Looking at the tweets of some of the people laid off and so many read the same. A variation of "Thanks ESPN for helping me live the dream." It's almost as if that was part of their buyout clause or something.

Did you know ESPN rating are declining, so perhaps they should consider that their current strategies aren't working.

Looks like they're addressing that right now.

Laying off a bunch of people and doubling down on hour worst spot is not addressing their strategy. It's ignoring it and laying people off. They have already said they want to continue the same shitty programming.

I was thinking the same thing. You would expect at least one person who lost their job abruptly to be a little pissed off.

most likely just don't want to burn any bridges. not a good look to potential employers if you publicly nuke your previous job.

I get that some people might want to make themselves attractive to potential employers and slamming your former employer isn't the best way to do that, but one would think that out of 100 or so talking heads, one would be vocal about their displeasure. It looked like Kannell was about to go off but then he dialed it back. I know that if I lost my job of 15 years while someone like Heather Dinnich was kept on, the world would know how pissed I was.

LOL bc you, slackster is such a valued poster,I like how your dumbarse likes to troll me for being a rockets fan and me saying westbrick would never win shite against us. Then westbrook proceeds to go average a triple double, which he did all season, while shooting 38% from the field and 27% from 3 while shooting his team out of all but 1 game, that game being the 1 where he decided to shoot 1 three pointer and his team won.

Westbrook sucks, you suck as a poster, and you'll never admit it just like the tards on the money board who downvote all my trades as they continue to outperform the market.

Hate me all you want, im brash, im arrogant, its whatever, but at the end of the day im usually right and turdbrick went 1-4, padded his stats, and shot awful from all over the field. Hell you wanna talk clutch? The rockets even trolled his lack of clutch

let me remind you

Interesting. She made a tweet yesterday with words of encouragement for those that got fired. No longer on her timeline today.

It has been pretty public that cuts were coming. All of these people saw the staffers get the axe last year.

So imagine that:
A. working for ESPN was pretty cool so they are grateful
B. they don't want to burn bridges.
C: probably some writing in the severance that says it's better not to talk
