Lol. They arent laying off any high name black personalities. Thats their new branding. Have you seen the SC6 shite? Its awful.
Why should they get laid off?
They should get raises if they can get people that hate the show to still watch it.

Im sure Barry Melrose, the one hockey guy, will get axed. Right in the middle of the playoffs.
Hope he goes to nhl network or nbcsn
Bucci mane tweets about hockey so he'll probably get cut too.

If it was a sports-driven sportscenter I would probably watch it every day

Marty Smith will be stranded in Italy or wherever the frick Michigan football team is now.

If Ed Werder, a consummate professional on tv, can get the boot, they better get rid of the rest of the NFL correspondents. Every time I hear Josena Anderson over enunciate e-ver-y Word it makes me cringe.
he has been there for 17 years doing a job that 1000x of young good looking women will do for a fraction of the price. I saw the same thing happen to my dad the last O&G downturn, they laid off all the people that had been there for 30+ years and replaced them with 2/3 people out of college.

TBF, last I heard their ratings were down 10% from last year. It's not like their show is killing it.

I am curious how much guys like Werder are making, I get the feeling it is way more than they should be.
Also Clay Travis is probably having to change his underwear every 5 minutes with this news.

and the debut of more digital-only content socially and on our App means SportsCenter in its many forms is easily accessible, informative and primed with personality.
Sportscenter is not easily accessible online, and the personalities aren't anywhere close to what made them popular in the 90's.
I have to watch a 30 second commercial before any video, and instead of having one 2 minute video of a games highlights, there's 4 or 5 15 second videos of a few plays. If there's anything of interest that happens in the game, instead of linking a video of the actual play, they link a video of someone talking about the play. How about you show me the fricking play and let me have my own opinions of it.

Must be nice knowing you will never be fired.

Asking for civility on Twitter is an exercise in frustration, but today ain't the day for you to delight or wish for people to be fired.

Im not implying they should, obviously I'm not running ESPN.

Lulz, I watched it the first week it was on and haven't seen it since. It's the equivalent to watching an ebonics spelling bee with sports.

Is jemele hill male or female?

Another one:
Scott Burnside
@OvertimeScottB
After 13 years of sticks and pucks can share that as of today my tenure at ESPN is at a close. I look forward to the next adventure.

He is untouchable. He is considered their #1 personality. People at ESPN are judged by how they compare to him.

Scott Overweg. Never heard of him
Posted on 4/26/17 at 9:19 am to GEAUXmedic
Layoffs will be 75-80% white men.
It won't be Stephen A, Jemele, or Lebatard.
If they cancel Russillo and Kanell we should riot

was just thinking the same thing
A NFL Draft type show running the layoffs on FS-1 would be pretty epic

ESPN makes their money on calling for coaches to be fired, and all of a sudden they want civility about the layoffs.
