im usually not one for irrational hatreds but
1. commentary is bad
2. always sounds like he just finished eating biscuits and syrup
3. has made several dickish, passive aggressive remarks that you can tell piss off ravech and peterson. most recent example was when florida scored their 3rd run on a ground ball off of first base. peterson says "wow" as the runner beats it out and perez follows with "they teach you as a commentator never to say 'wow' and to instead describe the play". a little time passes and ravech brings it back up with a tone kinda like "really, dude? stfu".
that being said ben mcdonald is GOAT

Eduardo is pretty good on strategy and situations
I think he and Burke needed to be paired together. Ravech makes it worse as his fake knowledge gets in the way of him and KP
But I understand the Pitcher Fielder pairings

Karl Ravech has been calling live baseball broadcasts for ESPN since the early 90s.
At this point, he's forgotten more baseball knowledge than anyone on this board knows.

I got used to his voice while watching major league games on ESPN. Sounds like Vin Diesel.

Perez thinks college baseball fans are dumb and havent watched baseball all season so he has to explain every play to us. Also he goes from calling zero college games all season to the CWS. Weird

He definitely talks down slightly to his audience and other guys in the booth. I get the feeling he is from a cocaine rich Latino family from south Florida.

WITHOUT fricking Karl Ravech, who really seems bored with the whole thing. That one game they all did together that turned into the McDonald story-fest was Ravech's fault because he kept asking Ben questions that led to the stories. They went 2 innings and talked about everything BUT the game.

I was thinking the other day that Ravech was calling games and hosting Baseball Tonight with the likes of Peter Gammons, Dave Cambell, etc... now he has to sit there listening to Fast Eddie Perez gargle his way through college baseball!

I know I'm in the minoriity, but I don't mind Perez. I've learned a couple of things from him.
