Bosh did it the hard way. Everyone knows that team was built talented but flawed. When you have a Top 2 player of all-time, you can get passed that.

You have the 2nd best player in the L and he's going to waste playing next to this "elite rim protector"

quote:

Duncan is basically a center, especially defensively. I've argued that for years. The guy can guard any of the elite bigs, something Horford cannot do.

It's an offensive driven league, no one can guard thr elite bigs. This is when you become serviceable on the deference end and focus on other facets of the game that makes you a more complete player and in turn make your team better

Look what Horford did for his team, even against the west

Look at how good clutch city was sans Howard

That's all ya really need to look at. Just look at it

For moral vicotry. Sorry bro that's not our thing in HOU.

Look at the original post of this thread. "I'm still a champion."

Moral victories.

To be fair, I see what you are saying. But the Hawks aren't going anywhere until they get a better rim protector. And the Rockets would probably be better off if Capela would improve a ton next year, allowing us to lose Howard and spend money elsewhere. But elite rim protectors always get paid because they are valuable and very hard to find. It's why DeAndre Jordan is about to get a max contract

CLE has the best D in the postseason, GSW had the best D in the regular season. No surprise that these are the 2 teams standing.

Let me also add the question. If given a team with Tim Duncan and Al Horford, where do you start the two players. I think the answer is pretty obvious. Horford at power forward and Duncan at Center.

You are mistaking the ability to play power forward as not being able to play center

This is a good thing my man. Christ who doesn't want w guy who can mix and match at PF and C

But Horford is not playing center well enough. He's not blocking or altering shots, and he's not dominating the boards. Duncan does both of those things and has an awesome offensive game, and that's why he is a Hall of Fame lock.

Sounds like the definition of a moral victory.

Trust me, whatever the extent of Howard's injuries throughout his career, people knew. Why? Because he always made a point to tell them.
No he didn't. People did not know how injured he was playing with the Lakers.

That's why the Rockets were shocked when they realized how weak his legs were.

And take this year for example... he was playing hurt all year and we didn't know anything until it got to the point that he physically couldn't play and had to sit out and rehab.

Moral victory is Pels fans saying that almost made one of the games close at the end or whatever they're trying to say these days.

Only when they bring it up. To me the season ended in disappointment no doubt it. Only when someone else tries to talk shite do I bring up that HOU was better than their team.

The Rockets would have been bounced in the first round without Howard. We need him for playoff basketball.

No you aren't. The Hawks are, but that discussion has already been settled in another thread. Atlanta will take the moral victory bronze medal since Houston doesn't do moral victories!
