It really is true that the media/fans pick and choose who to hate for their personal lives/ personalities. I actually think that Shaq and Dwight have almost identical personalities. Whenever people try to describe why Dwight sucks, I always hear a perfect description of Shaq.

I can agree with that 
Although Shaq and Dwight both have polarizing personalities, Shaq riffed off his better than Dwight has. Howard still has time to learn how to do that, though.
What amazes me is how the Spurs are like controversy Teflon. It's not like we never have drama but damn that shite gets swept under the rug with a quickness

STFU. Shaq's personality won championships with Kobe as his teammate. Shaq made Kobe taste his arse and then rapped about it. Dwight was Kobe's submissive bitch. Their personalities couldn't be much more different. They only have giving the BBC to randoms in common, but that's 96% of the NBA.

Age is the key difference. Kobe was younger than Shaq. Not to mention Dwight was injured his whole time in LA.
Both Dwight and Shaq think they are funny, but most players disagree. Both don't work super hard/ practice post moves. Shaq is more physically gifted, but he has the same work ethic. Both are very sensitive guys who love to give a joke but don't do so well taking them.
