You can thank the ESPN crowd for this. They think that all quarterbacks are suppose to be 6'4-6'5 225-230 statues that play in the top 7-8 media markets. Guys like Cowherd still won't admit a guy like Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in the game even though he's been so for the past 3 seasons. Why? He's 6'2 220, very mobile, plays in a city of 100k, and doesn't date an overrated model.

well we actually had a good regular season in 2009, getting a 1st round bye.

He just went a measly 8 touchdowns, 0 interceptions while completeing 70.6% of his passes

Brees has been exceptional in the playoffs

Yea Brees had such a mediocre performance in his superbowl run

When are you going to address his completion percentage record, by the way?

Alex Smith was 6 completed passes away from breaking that. Just sayin'.

saying what? The guy said that he racked up stat just do to sheer throwing volume, which would actually make the completion % more impressive.

While also having one of the shortest downfield throwing averages in league history. He's the king of dumpoffs and screen passes. It's funny that Saints fans love to laugh at Matt Ryan for doing this, when Brees has created a false legacy around doing this very thing.

Did he even have enough passes to qualify? Also, Brees is 3rd all time in career completion percentage, so the volume passer thing is complete horseshite.

Brees has a 7.5 career yards per pass attempt average. Same as Brady, and .1 behind Manning (and .3 ahead of Ryan). Incidentally, that's a higher average than Marino. You're really good at this!

Depends what you mean by qualify. He doesn't appear on the end of season passer rating stats (you have to look him up) so probably not if the criteria are the same for single season records.

I just remember it being pointed out last season when he came in at the end of the very last reg season game. Don't think he even threw a pass though.

Your link did nothing to dispute my FACT. Downfield throwing average is how far his average pass travels from the line of scrimmage to its intended receiver. He has one of the shortest downfield throwing averages in history. That's a fact. It's not disputed because it's a fact. Sorry you can't accept reality bro.

Don't worry though, I'm sure the Saints will become relevant again at some point in the next 25-30 years though.

Jaws ensured that his list was irrelevant when he put Flacco in the top 5 and didn't put Mark Sanchez last

I know this fool didn't try to use this shite

Hey dumbfrick, you realize that a quarterback can throw a screen pass (which are behind the line of scrimmage since I doubt you know what that means) and the back/receiver can run 70 yards for a td and the QB is credit for 70 yards on a pass attempt that a 6th grade could complete right?

Jesus you Saintards are a special breed.

I'm sorry Brees has the most accurate deep ball in the NFL, crushing your argument about only throwing short passes
