Dallas deserves a medal for forcing the Spurs to 7.

He doesn't get fired either way. And OKC may get one game but no more than that.

I think the Thunder win 1 or 2 games and Brooks gets fired. Harden trade is going to haunt that franchise until they win a title, especially with the escalating salary cap over the next few years (which they had no way of knowing, but if they had held him through the year, they could have gotten a better idea).

Harden is a more high profile version, but it reminds me of the Suns dumping Joe Johnson after the first Nash MVP season. That Suns team was stacked with four All Stars (Nash, Marion, Amare, Johnson) much like the OKC team. Hope the Thunder can get one title out of this group.

ETA: This doesn't fit in this thread, but I really like the Pacers yet see them getting blown out in a Spurs series. The Heat-Spurs would be an incredible rematch. I can't root for it, but it would be exciting.

I think we were all predicting Aron Baynes would be playing the bulk of the 4th quarter tonight.

They should get rid of him. He's extremely mediocre. Spo >>>> Brooks

IDK, he had Durant, Westbrook and then they shipped off Harden, and then he lost Ibaka for the series.

He clearly showed he can get them to a championship with the right players, but subtracting form that roster doesn't help.

Most if the thunder fans wanted him out after the Grizz series, more so now after this shitshow.

I certainly don't think they win the series, but no way in hell does Durant let a sweep happen.

I mean, then they really need to win Game 3.

Also I knew the Harden trade would bite us in the arse eventually. All the pieces were there, we just needed time to mature. I knew this was a bad idea, but all the thunder fans were saying
"Oh Kevin Martin is a great replacement" well where the frick is he now?

"Oh Jeremy Lamb will be a great third for KD and Russ." bullshite. And now look us and Houston, we're not going anywhere anytime soon.

Brooks is very solid at player development, but terrible at X's and O's. He should be fired to get over the hump, but he won't be. Stranger things have happened, but the public vote of confidence KD gave for Brooks in his acceptance speech would make it awkward if he got fired just a few weeks later. I know KD can't exactly say much else about his coach publicly, but still.
