That sucks.

Someone better check on Elleshoe and make sure he doesn't have any sharp objects close by.

There’s two kinds of Mets luck: bad and none

Yeah he's done for the year.

Someone put Elleshoe on suicide watch.

Honestly it provides so much exposure for MLB and is probably a cash cow in that regards that it will never stop. I could see MLB offering special insurance, roster exemptions, or draft pick certainties to allow players to not only compete but if they get injured.

Is celebrating inherently dangerous or was this maybe just a freak accident?

Players have gotten seriously injured playing with their kids at home. shite happens.

Yeah, I didn't think the celebration was over the top at all. It was a fairly tame celebration with the players just jumping up and down. The players aren't just going to act like robots after a win. I don't see how any of the players take any of the blame.

I know you're upset about Altuve, understandably, but the WBC is good for the growth of the game and needs to be played every 3 or 4 years like it is now.

Injured celebrating should affect the WBC? That's silly. Just don't celebrate then.

These games have post season intensity to them & the players are so into it. It’s very good for the game and would be a massive mistake to interfere regardless of the situation regarding injuries.
