The Cubs fan in the bar last night wore cargo shorts, a jersey and a backwards hat. He was the person version of that butcher slide on Kang.

They'll never win because there's a God. What they did to Bartman was terrible. Savages.

That was mostly ESPN and Fox.

I was actually out in Wrigley last night during the game. I was conspicuously not rooting for the Cubs (I'm a Reds fan), but I'll give them credit last night...

That crowd was largely the diehard, never-say-die type of Cubs fan. I didn't see many pink hat fans.

It was also rowdy as hell and really fun. The cops had blocked off huge sections around the Clark/Addison intersection. I will be going back this weekend.

Why are you that worried about it? No real reason to hate on the true fans, so if you are one from the area, you do you. But you know a lot of the bandwagoners are attracted to the fact that it's one of the "cool" teams with all the mystique, pageantry, and fanfare associated with the club. We all know the Red Sox "fans" a decade ago were nauseating as well.

was this supposed to be directed at me?

It would be phenomenal.

Last night alone - a Wednesday night for a wild card game played 400 miles away - was one of the wilder sports experiences I've ever seen.

If the Cubs win the World Series, the whole Northside might burn down. It would be rioting of epic proportions.

I will be there if they make it to the WS...might not make it to the games, but I want to be in Wrigleyville for that.

Bunk Moreland that was one of the best answers I have heard on why people hate the cubs.

I have no idea why but in Chicago they don't treat teams like stars but treat certain individual athletes like gods.A great example is Walter Payton kids are as talented as the Jenner kids. They both have there own tv shows and they are both awful at what they do. But because of there dad they will always be involved in the Chicago media which is stupid imo.

Goddamn, that was a joke.

The entire area around Wrigley was packed as could be. You couldn't get into any bar within a half-mile of the stadium and Clark Street was shoulder-to-shoulder between Waveland and Roscoe, and they decide to show that BS on national TV.

As a Cubs season ticket holder, I agree partially, but there are more true Cubs fans who go, don't drink, etc. than what is seen on TV.

All other clubs in MLB wish they had the problem of people wanting to go to the Bleachers and partying and cheering on the Cubs.

Heck, the only place I thought was comparable, was old Yankee Stadium, and they got rid of that.

And I will cut you for badmouthing a delicious Old Style on a very hot day
