Any chance the Cavs thought facing Indiana and Toronto/Milwaukee winner would be easier than Chicago and Washington/Atlanta winner?

Chicago gave Cleveland fits all year.

If they did it on purpose that's calculated af and a smart move. Least resistance to the ecf/finals

You're forgetting the fact that it came down to a tiebreaker on the last day for Chicago to even get in

Toronto seems like easier matchup than Washington.

We have said this about Chicago, Toronto, and Atlanta in the past. And the Cavs still beat them in the playoffs rather easily.

Yep. The 4 teams that give the Cavs fits are on the other side of the bracket.

That obviously means they will only play ONE of them.

Yes because they were trying to avoid the Heat (which ended up being moot)

Very possible... but again IMO they are lucky to be up 2/0 on the Pacers....

This is utterly stupid. MSB goes from "Cavs play in the easy east, it's a shame they won't have any tough opponents to face" to "OMGERRD their scared of the bulls and 3 other teams that gave them fits during meaningless games"

I don't think they necessarily wanted the 2 seed, but I feel like they didn't care what seed they got.

It can be both, bruh. Cavs being in the east is definitely an easier route to the finals. But there are also teams that they do struggle with in the east.

And it doesn't mean that they can't beat them in the playoffs. Not at all. But I'm sure they would rather avoid the tougher teams if they had the choice (which they sort of did this year).
