I like the hire. Derek Fisher has 5 championships and played with several of the best players of the last 15 years. He has also had very little trouble and ran the point for phil jackson's system.

if you adjust for living in NY, and take into account that the Knicks are probably worth more than just about every other team in the league, it's really not that ludicrous. i'm not saying it's smart, but it's not absurd either.

It's more the principle of how much money he makes. Under no circumstances should he make more than guys like Spo or Carlisle.

Plus, you have to get Plan B or C, as opposed having 20 people turn the job down like what's happening in Cleveland. They have MSG network so the salary money is just a number.
