Do you think it's at all possible that the Astros and Tigers already have a tentative agreement in place, that Verlander has approved, that would allow things to move quickly if he goes unclaimed?

I believe that would be a violation and both teams could get in trouble. I also doubt that would happen because the Tigers want to get the rest return they can, so they can trade Verlander to anyone now.

Verlander has not been horrible this year and has been better in the second half again... Cubs or Astros could use him
