As a member of the Brewers organization, I doubt Matt would be a fan. Unless he is tight with Go-Go or Fiers.

Right. He's considered the top prospect in baseball right now (Correa, Bryant, Duffy, others that are in majors excluded), and he's playing pretty decent, and he's supposed to be a good talent, so he's worth noting. I'm not saying he's doing better or Correa better watch out, but he could be very good in years to come.

In fact, Twins haven't lost since he's been back in the lineup.

In light of the offday, decided to unscientifically mess around with some numbers on baseballreference. If you take Reed and especially White's numbers from all competition this year, they outperform basically our entire team in plate discipline. I may try to post an image later of the data when I get home, idk.

But basically, I ranked our entire relevant team by K% and BB% and included the two minor leaguers for grins. Then sorted by their composite ranking (just adding the two rankings together). Basically it goes:

1. White
2. Lowrie
3. Reed

14. Castro
15. Rasmus
16. Marisnick

While it's obviously not an Apples-Apples comparison due to them being minor leaguers, still pretty noteworthy if you can suspend disbelief. If these guys can replace Carter and maybe someone like Gattis, the dynamic of our team changes dramatically.

Few other interesting notes to consider:
- Correa is #4 on these rankings, meaning that he's #2 irl. Springer is also not far behind
- Carter has an unbelievably putrid K rate at over 33%, which is not even on the scale of Fangraphs (way below "Awful"), but is one of our best guys at drawing walks (ranks 3rd among current players)
- Altuve is ridiculous at not K'ing

Disclaimer: left off Villar because he sucks, but included Lowrie and Conger

tl;dr: Astros stacked, AL West fricked...fire Ludlow

If carter has a 33% K rate and is 3rd on the team in walks, then one would logically assume that carter spends the overwhelming majority of his at bats...not hitting the ball.

Who's the jackass that anchored the thread? They really want a new thread for an off day?

we stacked. Those walks though. Nearly 200 more walks than the next closet organization.
