I mean I'm pretty sure if he even plays the rest of the season below his average he's still got it locked up
Im just looking at Bryce Harper's NL ROY numbers, and he had 22HR 59 RBI .270 AVG in 139 games. Correa hasn't even played half of that.

Miguel Sano could steal AL ROY if Correa slumps. Check the numbers.

Not worried. Sano has an absurd .413 BABIP right now with a K rate of 35%. For an idea of how much he's striking out, Chris Carter has the highest K rate in baseball among qualified players at 33.5%. The highest BABIP in baseball is .389 (Goldschmidt and Dee Gordon). Sano's luck will regress and he'll have problems if he keeps striking out like that.
Meanwhile Correa's BABIP is right around league average at .299. He strikes out at a very impressive for his age 19%. Not to be all homerish but based on the numbers it looks like Correa's numbers are sustainable while Sano should cool off.
For comparison: Sano's minor league BABIP was .331, Correa's was .364

In 23 less games Sano is walking more than CC with comparable stat lines.
MS- 30 walks
AVG.287
HR 12
RBI 37
R 28
CC- 28 walks
AVG .278
HR 15
RBI 43
R 37
Sano started his career pretty cool. He's only been heating up.
I hope CC gets AL ROY, of course. I'm just saying it's not a run away.

5.5 game lead feels so good

Correa also plays a premium defensive position and does so very well
Sano is legit though, these two series with Minnesota should be fun to watch

98% playoff chance now per BP

I really want a DS matchup with the Yankees but I don't think it's going to happen. The Jays are on fire. I could see them winning it all honestly
Posted on 8/27/15 at 8:38 am to ShaneTheLegLechler
Yankees are a better match up for us as the Jays are very right handed. Wonder if Hunch would go McHugh Feldman keuchel (home) if we end up facing Jays and start in toronto. Would take balls to do that.
Posted on 8/27/15 at 8:45 am to Tiger Ryno
Nah, he's got to go Keuchel in any game 1. He would be butchered by the media if he went in any other direction and it didn't work out.

Their offense is absolutely insane and will keep them in every game. Outside of Price their pitching is kind of average to below average though.
I like our chances against them in a series. In a one game playoff with Price on the mound for it...
Hopefully things stay the way they are and both teams win their divisions.

For tomorrow's game, we need to bring out every good luck charm we've got to break the 14 over .500 hex.

I have been going sans pants during every game since the beginning of the last homestand. Ain't going to stop now.

Off day means off topics....
Verlander shoving it against the Angels was fun to see, but would you rather shove a No-No (I know he didn't get it but just hypothetically speaking) against the Angels...
OR
go home and shove it to Kate Upton :jump2:

Don't forget the list eater sunglasses at night gif.

I'm not opposed to using Julia pics to get the job done (which, when combined with the pants off concept, sounds pretty Ashby-level creepy).

He's not in the AL ROY race, but Buxton was ahead of Correa on lots of prospect rankings going into this season, and he's been playing pretty solid. He came up at a similar time to Correa and was doing terribly, but then got hurt, and since he's come back he's been hitting better. He's playing CF for Minnesota.
