I'm dead opposite. Our techy organization can really develop pitching but not so much hitting. We have impressive depth of arms right now when the season would be over already otherwise.

Makes sense. I just don't like the idea of letting go of a guy as versatile as Yuli and having 2 guys as limited defensively as Bell and Yordan.

I also think 2 years of Bell is going to take a pretty big offer and we're not exactly stacked with prospect capital.

Lots of stories from anonymous sources reporting a lot of Astros "stars" unhappy right now because of all of the cheating allegations. Although no one has dropped a name so real validity

Can you provide any more context or links because this does not make a lick of sense.

Why would they be upset that people are mad at them for cheating?

There's also a lot of smoke right now that water is wet. Just rumors for now tho.

Plenty of information out there from MLB.com, ESPN. cbs, figured it would be talked about here already.
Just that "stars" are unhappy and ready to bolt Houston when they get a chance.

Yea dude if that hasn't popped up in here then there isn't "plenty of information" out there

I make those rounds almost daily and have not see anything even close to related to those rumors. Granted I'm off of Twitter so there is a bunch of stuff from there that I may miss.

You should bolt our threads when you get the chance IMO

So it looks like they actually found damage in Yordan's knee. Partially torn patella tendon and he's having season ending surgery tomorrow.

Good to at least know something is there getting fixed instead of some career long mystery injury. Just crazy they didn't find the tear in the offseason or whenever he was getting this looked at back in March

Just heard from a friend that Yordon has a torn patella. So yep...headed to Methodist for surgery! Tweeted by McTaggart!

Dammitt, I got scooped. I should have hit the submit button before I knew the source.

I wonder if he never really told them how bad it was. It would seem like this should have been fixed in the off season.

This is okay, and he'll be healthy for spring training. He needs to stay with team training staffers all offseason to work on recovery and adding more overall power body support.

Yed is the best hitter on our team and should be this generation's David Ortiz-plus. And we need him to be.

Decent chance this is the case. Trying to be a tough guy and play hurt bit him in the arse...err...knee.

Gonna be great when fans are cheering for Springer or Correa on their team and booing the shite out of Yordan

Both of those were gone regardless, the Astros are not paying them what the market will

I agree. It's also possible that it's a cultural difference between playing in Cuba and here and maybe even something with the translation and his real understanding of what they expect from him.

MLB teams pay for the best translators, if it is an issue it is that Yordan tried to play through it or thought it would get better with rest.

Yed likely tore it in a non-baseball related incident during the offseason

Tried to let it heal on its own, using any excuse to buy time

Like Jwho said, just glad it’s an easy fix and he will be ready in ‘21

I did see something of that nature from that self righteous prick Olney. So help me understand, once they go to another team the cheating goes away and all is well?

Come to think of it, that actually seems to be working for Mookie Betts.

Melt more dude, there is nothing trolling about the Astros not paying Springer or Correa. frick it's been common knowledge here.

shite you want me to troll I will, what I said wasn't a troll and if you feel it was then the problem is you. So frick off

Oh and that's not a "melt" since you will probably say. It is just me dealing daily with idiot Astros fans like yourself. Ones who can't have a reasonable baseball conversation if they feel it is a slight to their team.
