KC is a big park so maybe Fiers won't be a home run machine. Let's get 11!

I was worried about this trip with two fill ins and demoted/promoted Fiers starting 5 or 6 of the games. It's nice knowing a winning trip is already secured.

Must win game

In all seriousness a regression is coming, but I don't see this team losing 7 in a row. Our likely "slump" will probably be a 15-20 game stretch of us playing .500ish ball.

Saw where CLE touched up Royals young lefty for 4 in 2nd inning yesterday

Rain made both teams use the bullpen.

Sets up nice once again.

How sweep it is!!!

During the Rangers' 10-game win streak, they gained a half game on the Astros.

During the Astros' 10-game win streak, they gained eight games on the Rangers (extending their lead from seven to 15).

With the Astros 41-16 record, they need to finish 59-46 to reach 100 wins.

If the Astros do not improve, but only maintain their 13.5 lead in the AL West, they will clinch the division on Sept 19 (season ends Oct 1).

Go 'Stros!!!

The astros 13.5 lead over second place in division would be the second largest lead between any division leader and last place.

Washington has a 15.5 game lead over last place philly

Remember last year when Springer was the last person we wanted up in a clutch situation?

Almost certainly. And then sweep through the playoffs I'm pretty sure.

He's kind of exciting as a lotto ticket.

BABIP is .545, he's going to regress at some point. But he is a big masher, 6'5" 220

Love this kid. Possible future beast. 6'5, 230 lbs, only 19 yo. Tons of raw power that is still developing into in-game pop. Keith Law wrote he could end up being a top 5 prospect in the organization as he continues to develop.

Ks need to come down a bit (in the lower 30% range) but also walks at an extremely insane rate (currently around 20%), which is awesome for a 19 yo with only 100-plus professional ABs so far.

Fielding is currently thought to be below average though. Plays 1b and OF now, but I imagine will be moved to strictly 1b as he matures. His bat should be able to move him up the ranks though.

Excited to keep watching this kid
