Five Astros have multiple hits this game. 7 batters have recorded a hit (only Grossman and the pitcher spot are hitless). We just couldn't do shite earlier in the game when we had bases loaded with 0 outs and the middle of our lineup up. Astros could easily have 3-5 more runs if they gotten those timely hits earlier.

Reading through Bidge's baseball ref page and found this interesting. He made outside of the $6MM range 3 times during his career (01-7.75, 02-8.75, 03-9.75). By the time he retired, he was at $5.15.

By comparison, Bagwell made 11, 13, 16 and 18MM in the 4 years up to his retirement.

Looking at Kastro (strikeout swinging on a ball), Villar (weak pop to the outfield) and Grossman (strikeout swinging on a ball) with the bases loaded.

The pitching is starting to be a concern.

Excluding Keuchel of course. Everybody has a bad game once in a while.

We can't afford an entire cycle through the rotation with everybody having a bad start. Cosart was the best out of the bunch in the past week.

I'm hoping we're not starting to see the signs of a young staff with the inconsistencies. The rotation needs to start fresh in the next 5 with Washington and 4 in TB.

The bullpen has had a terrible 2 weeks outside of Sipp.

Time to regroup and get our shite together

Was not able to follow much of the game last night, and I'm kinda thankful... Hopefully Feldman can get us back on track

After hitting .355 with 20 doubles 22 HR and 55RBI at AA, the Cubs have promoted Kris Bryant to AAA.

Meanwhile, Mark Appel is still toiling around in A ball with an 11.94 ERA and batters hitting .407 against him.

I'm excited to watch Bryant become a star here in Chicago, but damn I wish he was on the Stros
I think Appel becomes a reliable middle reliever eventually

Trust the process. Appel is still young.

Feldman walks lead off man, who steals second after call is reversed on a challenge. Solid start
