Hopefully it ends at Jon Daniels' desk with him being flattened.

It does suck what happened to moran though, he was just heating up. Any update on how long he will be out?

Don't think they have announced an estimated return date yet. I think he was hitting .400 over his last 7 games. Sucks

I still want Carter traded. I want him to do well though because it helps the team win and it improves his stock. I will never get on the Carter band wagon because he's too inconsistent.

As for Gattis, don't love him, but I love his home runs. Don't really want him for the long term either.

I agree with all this, especially on Carter. I don't mind Gattis as the boom or bust power guy along with Springer, but Carter drives me insane.

I don't think this is reasonable to do with singleton barely hitting .200 in AAA

There are other options at first base, especially when Correa gets called up.

I just do not understand the Carter love some have, especially the folks at the crawfish boxes. It's like just because he hit 37 HRs last season (which I don't see him doing again) his astronomically high K rate, and career .219 BA is ok.

I genuinely want him to do good for the reasons stated in my other post. I just don't want him in the long term plans for the club. I am not a fan of one tool players with high K rates.

Same. With the power we get from other spots I am fine with playing Lowrie at first honestly once he comes back. That might be able to keep him healthier as well

ETA that's assuming Correa is up and playing well at that point

In between the 2 stadiums is the convention center hosting OTC which has 100k plus people attending from around the world

OTC is at NRG Park, not downtown. But regardless downtown should be a madhouse when it comes to getting something to eat as there will lots of expense accounts charging anything and everything this week.

I was going to comment and tell you Springer is terrible in the 2 hole, then I looked and compared his stats from last year to this year

LY
2 hole .276/.395/.582
3 hole .189/.320/.443

TY
2 hole .132/.227/.158
3 hole .260/.397/.580

Only 10 games this year, so small sample too.

You don't think Lowrie would be able to play 1B?

Not saying he can't. Just saying he hasn't.

ETA: And we all have no idea how Lowrie's bat will be once he comes back.

ESPN's preview article for today's game mentions a "Jason Marisnick," never heard of him

I prefer Nick Maris. Say, you don't think he's related to? Nahhhh.
