Absolutely awful. I keep waiting for one of them to fart on air or some other immature bs.

I'd rather listen to Frédéric Fricking Chopin. Never got the allure of this guy.

I am surprised that ESPN picked up his show and moved it to what they consider a more premier time slot. There could be a big sports day, and they could debate "what is the most polarizing food?" for 3 segments in a row. I think it can be funny at times, but just seems way different than the Mike and Mike model that espn seems to love which discussed the hot topic of the day ad nauseam.

I think I like or dislike the show based on what kind of mood I am in. Some days when I just want some nonsense in the background, it is funny and enjoyable. For some reason whatever Stugotz says can crack me up. I do enjoy their mocking sports media polls poll.

On other days when I am wanting to hear some in depth discussion about certain games that happened or sports stories, it can be kind of annoying.

I do disagree with some of Lebatard's takes and agree with others. I have to change the channel though when he starts saying how terrible college athletes have it, how Mcelwain was out of line, and other stuff along those lines. I can see the other side on certain issues, but it appears that he can't.

This is my exact history with him. I hated him when he first took the 3-6 slot. After listening for a while I started to really enjoy it. The show when the LeBron back to Cleveland article came out was radio gold.

Lebatard fricking sucks. The first 20 minutes of the show today was talking about some douche from The League tv show lying about 9/11. If there aren't enough sports to go around, maybe these two can cut their show back an hour or more. Go sit on the view during that free time.

Lebatard is going for the 30 and above crowd. He is basically the new age Bruno and Kornheiser with a sidekick.

I enjoy LeBatard's show the two times I have heard it lately.

For those that say he is not knowledgeable about sports, he is but his angle is more of the casual view. He is always wanting to work the social ramifications of something, not necessarily how someone was suppressed or taken advantage of, but what the reaction will be publicly.

His show is hack. It would be one thing if he was just a local station guy, but he is supposed to be nation wide. I expect the show to be more polished and thoughtout. I feel like they are always winging it.

That is the purpose...he wants you to talk about how bad it is and will make others listen and he does not have to discuss sports to get what he wants out there.

But once you get past your own bias and listen to what they discuss, it is actually informative and entertaining. They just want you to be pissed off at times, if you are not in the target demo.

The density in this thread is amaze.

The whole point of his show is winging it. That's literally the premise morons.

Agree with OP, I really hate his show and have moved over 100% to the college football channel at noon.

And he gets paid good money to talk about it.

He's overpaid and I applaud him for that.

SVP and Russillo were the perfect balance of that. I don't mind (and at times I prefer) sports radio to be a little more lighthearted, I mean it is just sports, but Lebatard and his clowns come off as arseclowns all the time. They're a little too sports clueless for me.

So the whole point is to be bad at his job to troll haters? That way douches can laugh at how bad it is and that others don't get that he's being shitty on purpose? Bravo, mission accomplished. He's very good at giving the impression that he doesn't know how to read his sponsers spots, can't work through a segment, and that there was zero planning.

I quit listening when they had one of them's friend at the DMV saw JPP's hand and was reporting it on their show. Sure it sounded like a parody bit but I mostly listen to ESPN for news and opinions. Not for some Opie and Anthony hack crap.

Again, if that is his gimmick than cool. It is working because we are talking about it here. Lots of radio people became famous and successful with it. But its not my bread and butter. I get my comedy from Pandora. I don't need to get it from ESPN.

If he is your cup of tea, cool. He is going to keep doing him regardless, and it seems like he feeds on it. But I'll just have to find something else to listen to in the car.
