Prescott allows you to get rid of Romo and you won't have to pay him like a top QB until his rookie deal is up. Trade Romo for some more draft picks.
Elliot is a stud and he is on rookie money.
Young OL will cost some money to keep together.
They don't have to spend on Dez Bryant.
Will have flexibility to add to roster especially on defense.

They drafted two first round talents last year.

Smith can only help that defense.

Romo to the Jags!
Actually he wouldn't survive one game behind our O-line. We're so fricked.

I was just thinking this. What team can afford a veteran-superstar QB. Most teams in need of another QB have garbage offensive lines and Tony is a fragile guy. I think Cowboys hang on to him. Jerry loves Romo too much.

Romo has like a $19M cap hit next year. He ain't leaving DAL.

In your hypothetical scenario they would trade Dak for picks and then try and load around Romo/Elliot.

I think it's clear Romo will want to play next year and if Dak is truly the guy, Jerry will attempt to trade or cut Romo out of respect for him. I don't see the Cowboys stashing Romo on the bench when his playing days are clearly numbered.

I don't think anyone would give up a high pick for Romo but crazier things have happened. If Romo is completely healed, he's still easily a top 10 QB in this league and could turn a good team into a Super Bowl contender. Denver would be an absolutely perfect fit imo
