Jerry Jones is slowly pulling away from Tony and supporting Dak due to team's current chemistry.

quote:

"You want to be very mindful of what you got going, which right now we got a lot of chemistry going," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan Tuesday, as transcribed by the Dallas Morning News. "That has got to be really recognized if you're making a decision."

quote:

Jones added of Tony Romo: "He's a veteran. He wants this team to have all the success it possibly can have. Dak feels the same way. Coaching staff, they don't need to know. We'll just play it out. Tony has no issue with doing what's best for the team. Absolutely no issue with doing what's best for the team."

Meh. If Romo is healthy and Dak throws a couple bad ints in a half he'll be pulled and likely won't go back in until Romo breaks again

May want to change your thread title, nothing definitive about what Jones said.

If it's the super bowl. And tom Brady is on the other side.

Who do you want dak prescott or tony tomo? Really. Dak has been ok with a great line and a rookie rb that may hit 2k.

I think Jerry is starting to realize that its Dak's team now. Look at Jerry's comments over the past month and this one really contrasts against the others.

Cowboys players rally around Prescott. They love him. Look at the ending of the game vs philly.

These comments by Jones solidify Prescott as starter.

Romo is the only QB on this team that can win a super bowl THIS year. Dak reminds me of Kapernick when he was surrounded by an Elite team

good question. Neither Dak or Romo has ever played in a Super Bowl.

Jerry literally announced Dak would start against Cleveland and that was it.

It's pretty clear they are just going with Dak until he doesn't win a game and Tony is 100% healthy. There is no need for him to rush back in the current situation.

I agree with this. They are playing with house money racking up regular season wins with Dak.

Romo has a bigger palette.
As Dak expands his repertoire Romo moves closer to the "new york"
Jersey Jets.

We should set O/U on how many snaps Romo takes in the first quarter of the first Dallas playoff game.

Yep, why stop a good thing while its still going.

In all honesty I would love to see Dak keep winning. Not a cowboys fan at all, but I never thought he would be able to preform like this in the NFL out of Miss St. He was fun to watch there....except in 2014...and he is fun to watch now.

There is no need for dak to get benched right now.

Why disrupt the teams cohesiveness right now?

Is romo a solid qb? Sure but there's no need in putting him in at the moment.

What does that mean in the context of that statement?

The Eagles showed how to force Dak into having a bad game this week. The Cowboys won but Dak had a really bad 3.5 quarters. We'll see if teams see that film and try the same things and we'll see if Dak can adjust to it. Hopefully he can.

It means that he is fully aware that he is the fricking boss, and every single person on the Cowboys payroll from the head coach to the water boy is going to do exactly what he fricking says.

Dak's starting if Jones says Dak's starting. He doesn't even need to have the conversation.

That's what power looks like.

Ok, now what did it really mean?
