HEYOOOH.

But seriously, cubs are going to be good and if you think bad ownership, history of losing, and even a college of coaches have anything to do with this year, then I can't help you.

Honestly, the best part of when the cubs win a WS won't be the title, it'll be the retirement of all the hackey jokes.

Do you go with a right/left handed platoon with schwarber and Soler? No clue how they're going to work this but it sure is a good problem to have. Also gives you good injury insurance

He's only a 1yr deal. They're prob hesitant to deal cause the young guys are still long term. Unless there is something you cannot pass up(starting pitching). That's the only hole

We can just trade Dex to the O's at the deadline for Kevin Gausman.

Can we go ahead and get the DH for the NL...just for this year as an experiment and go back to proper baseball next year?

Why, he's not had success before with Baltimore castoffs...

That's what I was about to say. Fowler's deal is basically a one year deal and can be two. Your future outfield is Schwarber, Heyward and Soler. Fowler is just a solid piece that can cover all three spots

I think you guys are a little out of touch on trade partners due to the dbacks going retarded. Obviously you guys have some pieces we'd love to have, but from all the dancing around this offseason it seemed valuing soler by both sides was way off along with what the braves expect in trades.

Hopefully we can find enough spot starts for soler, or maybe even get him in LF some and schwarber behind the plate more. I really thing soler is going to be a monster.

I say we leave Soler on the bench anytime it's cold enough for him to wear his little cold weather mask. Dudes gotta be 0 for when he wears that thing

Fowler clearly wanted to be in Chicago

Which is interesting considering he rejected their qualifying offer of $15.9 million if I recall correctly.

@CarrieMuskat: Just realized on Opening Day, #Cubs will use a DH since they'll be facing Angels. Imagine that lineup now

Wonder if this comes with an agreement that the cubs won't offer the QO next year
