Shite has been like this for the last 8 years. It's really getting old.

If I was a pollster, I would not be crediting Michigan State with a win. I would look at it the same as if they lost. The only reason they won was because of the flukiest of plays at the very end of the game. Play that same situation 1 million times, and they lose that game 999,999 times.
Thank god you're not a pollster. MSU had 20 first downs to UM's 10 and almost double the yardage. UM was mainly in the lead because of special teams gaffes but when they lose on a special teams gaffe it should count as a win?

So for example... if I was going to drop Michigan State in the rankings before that last play, that last play wouldn't change where I'd rank them just because they ended up with more points on a last second fluke play.
If Michigan would have won, they would have risen in the polls. But because they lost, they dropped in the polls. It makes no sense that the last play of the game was the difference in causing them to rise or fall.
Are we trying to find the 4 best teams or are we just ranking based on stats and numbers?
Here is a pollster's thinking "10 seconds left... Michigan looks like the 9th best team to me. *10 seconds later*. Nevermind. They look like the 17th best team to me."

What's your definition of best team?
Because a 5 loss team may have future NFL players all over the field. So they could be best team
Yet a team with 0 draft picks could go unbeaten but only be +1/game in scoring margin

TCU and Michigan State should be the 2 lowest ranked undefeated teams. Bama over undefeated teams is asinine, but it's Bama and they always get favouritism. Bama's loss, at home, came to a team that just got beat handily by Memphis.

Your opinion of Texas A&M doesn't really mean anything. The pollsters still thought enough of them to put them in the top ten this far into the season.

I'd much prefer a compilation of computer polls to decide the top 4 for reasons just like this.

Florida has one loss and they beat Ole Miss. Alabama couldn't do that.

Bama has beaten 2 top 10 teams this year and would skull frick the hell out of Michigan or Michigan State. Seriously have you seen them play?
