I get the feeling that these deathbed confessions by form college athletes are cases of partial truths. No way these athletes are receiving a couple hundred dollars while playing at these programs. I am willing to bet the true number for a outstanding performer is somewhere in the tens of thousands of dollars.

If by UT boosters, you mean some guy getting him to sign several jerseys then handing him money, then yeah. It's even weaker than Manziel signing photos. These 'boosters' aren't the ones you see with connections to the university.
