I like how Phil Rogers evidently lives in Theo Eptsein's brain.

I've lowered my hopes on a big splash.
Looking more and more like just adding a rental pitcher and bench bat--i.e. Kennedy and Venable types.

Just reading the tea leaves:
Maddon saying Castro is not on the block--we probably don't want to move him at this low of value

Theo repeatedly saying he's working on a very tight budget

Padres keep trying to push Shields and Cashner, Ross price but my astronomical.

I wouldn't hate Cashner, honestly.

I still don't think that's what he was saying. I think he told him right then you're not getting traded, as he was pulled, but i can't see joe/theo or anyone telling a player not named anthony rizzo that you're not getting traded.

Was always the best course. And if montero is serious about being close to returning, and lastella can get out of the shower without hurting himself, the bench bat may not even be necessary.

If we could get a bullpen arm (see ya soriano) and a #5 rental without giving up anyone of consequence on a already difficult WC2 run year, i'd think that'd be about perfect.

I'm trying to remember the last time he made hard contact. I think it was in may.

Even the opposing team announcers commented on his lack of hustle.

And these fox Milwaukee TV announcers are terrible. I wish there was a different feed on mlb extra innings.

Our lack of situational hitting is mind boggling at times.

It's to the point to where if he isn't traded tomorrow, it's time for him to be "injured" and he can go on a long rehab assignment.

He missed the 1st pitch by at least 3 feet.

We are so home run reliant..it's quite unhealthy
