The Cubs (58-38) take on the Brewers (41-54) this afternoon from Miller Park. Brewers took last night's game, 6-1. Cubs looking for the series win today. Jon Lester (10-4, 2.89) goes against Junior Guerra (6-2, 3.06). Go Cubs Go.

They need to widen that gap on the Cards.

I love that Fowler is back! I do wish they'd put Zob #2 and Bryant/Rizzo 3/4

I gotta keep trusting Joe knows what's best though

You can always count on Chris Carter to strike out in a big spot

I'm seriously wondering if the Cubs sign Fowler to a longer deal. He's been really good in his time in Chicago and he really seems to have great success with this organization. It feels like one of those times where it's just a perfect fit for both sides.

I really wish they would just sign him. I know free agency didn't work out so well last offseason, but he should have more offers than he did last year. It is obvious this guy is a very good leadoff hitter. He can be patient and let the guys behind him see a lot of pitches, or in last night's case, spark things off with the long ball.

He also seems to enjoy being on this team, and the feeling looks to be mutual, as evidenced by the team's reaction in Spring when he showed back up.

Zobrist is really struggling lately. They gave him a couple of days of to re-charge but didn't seem to help. Need to get him back on track.

Interesting to ponder the moves the Cubs might make. Zobrist though is probably here for awhile and hitting .171 the last 30 games ain't going to cut it. Hell Miggy is probably hitting better than that.
