Nice debut for Montgomery. Twitter is blowing up with people calling the trade a failure.

Yep, not the best debut for Montgomery there. He'll get it right hopefully.

Hopefully Richard is the guy sent away for Nathan today.

He's a career .265 hitter whose best days are likely behind him. He's about at that line right now. Best case scenario is he holds about at that line, keeps taking alot of walks and steps it up post-season like he did last year in KC and helps the Cubs end the drought.

If he could do that it would lessen the blow of having to pay 3 more years of a big contract with what history says will likely be declining production approaching 40 years old.

Big strikeout there. If he can put the fire out, that would be pretty big time.

How much are they paying Ross to kill this inning. Out 4 secured, still two outs.

Heyward hits the ball hard every time but always five feet off the ground or below and always between the first baseman and two steps right of second base bag. Into the shift and usually into a dp.

Hope Russell is ok. Looked dehydrated, but it could be anything. In comes Baez.

Lastella out by a mile at second trying to strech a single into a double.

Well we blew a golden opportunity. This game is just full of bad luck.

Richard actually made a great pitch that should have been an out. The baseball gods decided otherwise.
