39th on the all-time scoring list. Every player ahead of him is (or certainly will be) a Hall of Famer
Melo's not even a borderline candidate. He's definitely going to the Hall of Fame when he retires.
Never made all nba first team. Never won MVP. Only been past the first round of playoffs once.
His accolades outside the NBA help him much more than his NBA accomplishments imo.

During his career, the only players to occupy the two forward spots are Lebron, KD, Dirk, Duncan, and Garnett. Surely you can't knock Melo for that.

Only 30 players have won MVP in league history. Impossible standard to meet.

Team success (or lack of) wasn't held against Hall of Famers like Mitch Richmond, so I doubt it will be for Melo.

Neither had Adrian Dantley. Melo made ASG two more times as well. And he gets to factor in his college national championship as well, as a freshman.
Melo's getting in dude, without a doubt. Lesser players have made it in the past. You lost this debate.
