I can't believe that you all put Catholic in the same discussion as Jesuit. Not even close.

I guess the original poster has a good argument if he is content with short-lived trips to the semis and quarterfinals, but CHS is a tradition of choking.

Not to mention, he called attention to CHS's trip to the Bi-regional playoffs in Bowling....

I'm still waiting for Weiner to schedule Parkview or Redemptorist in a non-district game that's NOT a jamboree...

I guess it won't happen, because they don't believe they can gain anything from playing a smaller school. However playing a non-district opponent that won't lay down just may help you down the road.

How many times have they gotten this?

Jesuit wins EVERY year, and Catholic always comes in 2nd.

Wasn't that a campaign slogan for LSU Student Government?

I agree with what you said for the most part, as it is reflected in my prior posts.

if jesuit or catholic put all of their best athletes onto the football team, i have no doubt they could hang with west monroe.

That's just it, unlike many other schools, CHS in all eras, has had excellent dual sports athletes that could've sent many teams over the top, yet so many athletes are competing for serious scholarship offers from elite academic institutions across the country. In the so-called "Stanford Sports" as some here label them, they play their lone best sport to focus solely, and/or not get hurt, in hopes of landing some very expensive Ivy and/or Ivy-esque rides.

And as mentioned above, CHS has went from 550ish twenty years ago to 900ish today, competing against in some cases, entire cities cherrypicked/funneled through 2K student high school campuses.

they don't because then their reclassification number would be 5000 and it's never that high

Are you familiar with the All Sports Trophy? Probably not because it annually resides on Banks Street in NOLA.

Parkview and Redemptorist or Pine Forest and STM? Dale is sorry he can't appease you with a Jamboree.

I'll take a wrestling state title over baseball.

Soccer way too high

Swimming too low

Baseball v. Wrestling is debatable IMO.

Yea, I don't know where you guys are getting the 2500 students number at Jesuit. It's never been higher than 1300-1400, and it's usually less than 1300.

Jesuit (and BM for that matter) have a full 8th grade which is a big advantage, IMO. Not really for numbers, but their athletes are in their systems for an extra year.

I have always been a proponent of Catholic moving to a full 8th grade class.

I believe the term that we're looking for is "boom".
