I have no idea how the team with Applewhite and Minor didn't go farther. I remember they played Jesuit my senior year in Baton Rouge, and a bunch of us drove up for the game. Jesuit got the ball first, put together a decent drive, then punted. The ball was downed on the 1 yard line. Minor then took the next play around end for 99 yards as Catholic went on to whip our asses. That Jesuit team went to the state semifinals too.

I remember my senior year when we went to Baton Rouge and beat the Dunn/Franklin Catholic team 14-12.

I also remember losing to Warrick and Kevin first in the 55m and then in the 100m and 200m in track. :(

92-93 school year

That's the year I remember. I took a student bus trip up to that game. Fr. McGinn was on the the bus with us and called us all a bunch of assholes because we were talking shite to the Catholic fans after the game.

I remember when we did a victory lap at Tad Gormley after beating Holy Cross one year. Fr. McGinn chewed us out during Monday's assembly, but he also reminded us that things would have been different against "a different school". Someone said, "Like Aug?" We all got a nervous chuckle out of that one.

Funny how things change. Outside of cross country and decent wrestling, CHS could not do crap in sports through the 70's. One federally instituted bussing program, white flight, and CHS is the pride of Baton Rouge in sports.

Are you familiar with the All Sports Trophy? Probably not because it annually resides on Banks Street in NOLA.

Stupid award. St. Joseph's fricking Academy would have won it last year if it still existed.

Nice try, but they haven't updated those stats since they won in 2009. So that's state champs in 2008 and 2009, which is 2 championships since 2001. I'm not saying that's more than Jesuit because I don't know; just saying you're wrong.

Very true.

The CHS kid who started this thread made us look like a bunch of cocks but hopefully people realize it's just an undecrlassman tool. However, the level of douchebaggery in this thread saw a huge increase when the Jesuit counts arrived completely unprovoked but nonetheless upset that they weren't being sucked off as the best in the state for this one particular year.
