Wonder how the family of that woman his reckless driving killed a few months back thinks about this

This is BS. If the Kardashians were not on tv, everyone would give no fricks. Because he is on tv, now they want to award him. Our society has gone to shite. I can't stand those fricks. All money grabbing bitches.

This is irrelevant. On principle people are going to be pissed when an award designed to go to a courageous individual trying to overcome great odds doesn't go to one of those people but instead is used as a Kardashian publicity stunt and a shameless ratings grab.

Exactly. It required thought and not blind allegiance to Capitalism and Twitter.

is transsexual support part of the socialist agenda these days? Funny because 'she' would have been executed in many of the countries you probably admire.
I'll give you a break though because I know you're saying most of this stuff to sound different and contrarian rather than actually believing any of it.

If Jenner does this in December, does he still get the award?
Let's agree for the moment that what Jenner did was "courageous." Was it really one of the best displays of courage in sports this past year?
If anyone says yes to either one of those questions, they're FOS.

How is this currently related to sports. Dude was an Olympic medalist what 40+ years ago and since has done nothing really sports related since. He married into a whack job family. It may be courageous but it has nothing to do with sports.
Also what's funny is Bruce has gone utterly bat shite crazy, Lamar went off the deep end with drugs, Reggie Bush and Kris Humphries have had better years while not with Kim K. Kanye is completely gone retarded. More so than before.
Heck Scott came into the family crazy and has turned out somewhat normal, like a reverse effect.

That's what I've been screaming! How is he getting an award instead of being in jail?
Are they really gonna let him get away with murder just because he had a sex change?

Money, money, money, money, money! That's what they are thinking. Oh, and he's just, like all transgendered, completely insane.

This all is very silly. ESPN is an entertainment business.. They are here to entertain us.. It's not a group handing out awards like the Nobel Piece Prize that are world renowned and accepted.. They're simply entertaining people. Like the WWE handing out awards.. Who cares?

Came into this thread to post exactly this. It's a fricking ESPY award. Who watches the ESPY's? The cameramen who shoot the damn thing don't even watch it. They probably just point the camera in the general direction and do crowd shots every thirty seconds while playing flappybird on their iPhone.
Is it ridiculous? Yes, but I more more annoyed by the morons who have brought this travashammockery into my awareness by bitching about it on the radio and all over this site on 3 separate boards than I am by the publicity seeking media mogul giving away a less than meaningless award to drum up attention.
Here's a novel idea. Stop giving ESPN and whoever else think they can profit off of this "story" the attention and ad revenue they are seeking and none of us ever have to hear anything about him/her/it ever again and I won't have to see that godawful Vanity Fair cover every time I turn on my Kindle Fire.
