Oh, so the black dot just means it is a regular club with no tilt?

Tots I don't think you would like the G15's personally. Just friendly advice tho

Adams are really good clubs and actually recently Taylormade bought them out for what I could assume to be their R&D because they are top botch in that boat

Burner 2.0s are great clubs with bit sweet spots. My dad plays them and so does my brother. Very happy with their purchase. They are long too

Yeah, that's the interpretation I have. Somebody that knows more about it will have to confirm that, but when I was fitted I was told I was standard everything, therefore I was black dot..

I would go to Edwin Watts to try them out before I would consider purchasing first. I won't buy any club w/o hitting it first.

For an inconsistent hitter such as myself, what is the difference between the G15s and Eye2s?

Black dot is standard loft and lie. I play black dot S59 Tours. I'm 5'9" if that helps. Tots, you can go to Ping.com and get somewhat of an idea with their online fitting system.

G15's should be more forgiving.

I could probably play Red dot just as easily. I was always told Black Dot was for 5'9"-5'10".

Yep. Spend cash on a sweet putter. It will make you love putting more and practice it more.

Set of irons. Buy second hand OR buy last years model that they have put on clearance. Great way to get a first set. DON'T buy the brand new "newest thing" golf clubs depreciate like college textbooks. And getting the newest clubs over a new set from a year ago makes as much sense as getting the newest history text. shite hasn't changed much in one year.

Nah, they really should be. I'm saying "should be" instead of "are" because I don't really know, because I've never hit Eye2's. Just newer technology says they should be.

And, hell yes, I'm trying to make a sale. They've just been sitting in the corner of my closet for 2.5 months begging for a new owner.

I don't know. I was fitted and told black dot. I can't complain.

When I bought them I couldn't hit them at all. They were Green Dot. Took them to Edwin Watts and they bent them to Black dot for $4 a club after fitting me.

ETA: I can hit these as well as any game improvement club I've ever owned and they're far from game improvement.

Technology

eye 2's are older clubs while very nice the sweet spot is smaller than they will be on the G15. In my opinion Pings are more for the non novice. that are for alittle better player who know what they are doing alittle bit. If you are an inconsistant hitter than you need more of a game improvement iron that is easy to hit with a big sweet spot

Burner 2.0s, adams, cobra ( which im not a fan of)

want to stay away from titleist pings IMO

they are great clubs AP2's are my dream clubs but i just dont think those companies are really suited towards the below average wacker

and yes as the guy above said, having clubs bent and fitted to fit you is just as important if not more than the actual clubs

dont buy off the shelf. get you a set of custom fit clubs. gigagolf has sets that will be custom fit that are better quality then most name brand for less then half the price. just click the efit system and follow the simple directions clicking help me decide when you dont know what something means.

im about to order me a set of hybrids from there. I would suggest either the trx ion series or the C9 ti's. my buddy has the trx's and they are the best clubs i have swung to date.

if you go off the shelf you will be paying more for the brand name, and the club will not be fit to you. but i do like the taylormade 2.0s if you decide to go that away.

The TRX is a Burner 2.0 clone. I'm going to have to take a look at these. Thanks for the heads up.
