He shouldn't have bought the car if he planned on ruining it. Just go buy an orange dodge, and do what you want with it.

This imaginary war in Southerner's mind is so funny.
Your ignorance is what's funny. The best argument that I've seen in regard to the perceived Confederate flag was laid out by Charlie Daniels.
Charlie's commentary
quote:
I was born in 1936, a mere 71 years after the Civil War ended, when the South was looked upon by what seemed to be a majority of the Northern States as an inbred, backward, uneducated, slow-talking and slower-thinking people, with low morals and a propensity for incest.
This was in the days before television, and about all the folks up North knew about Southerners was what they heard. There were a lot of people who took great pleasure in proliferating the myth, and some still do it to this day.
As you might suppose, people in the South bitterly resented this attitude of superiority, and in some quarters the words “damn” and “Yankee” became one word. And a somewhat fierce type of Southern pride came into being.
The Confederate battle flag was a sign of defiance, a sign of pride, a declaration of a geographical area that you were proud to be from.
That’s all it is to me and all it has ever been to me.
I can’t speak for all, but I know in my heart that most Southerners feel the same way.
I have no desire to reinstate the Confederacy. I oppose slavery as vehemently as any man, and I believe that every human being, regardless of the color of their skin, is just as valuable as I am and deserves the exact same rights and advantages as I do.
I've seen this facade of superiority in Northern people's attitudes firsthand, and, I'll admit, it rustles my jimmies pretty hard.

This kind of shite is what makes Southerners determined to not give it up.
Give up? They were beaten to the point of surrender. They've already given up.

Give IT up, Mr. Reader. As in, the flag.

If this "imaginary war" is mostly in southerner's minds, how come it's everyone else that's telling southerners what they should be doing regarding a flag that has no bearing of affect on anyone else's life?

Fly the flag of a loser all you want. Maybe put that rebel flag up next to your LSU 2011 National Champions flag.

Seriously? This is all about protecting the brand.
That's like being pissed off at a museum because they have a painting of the civil war and a soldier is carrying the confederate flag.

So you think the best response to Northeners who think they are superior is to fly the flag of the time when the North beat the South into submission. Well that makes sense I guess.

Now you're getting it. People SHOULD be able to fly whatever the frick flag they want to. It's truly a shame when certain people get "offended" (nevermind that they actually aren't offended, it's just that it's now the IN thing to do so they fall in line. If they were so offended they would've spoken up prior to 2 weeks ago) and then force others to change so they aren't offended anymore. What about the gay rainbow flag? What if some group came out and said "ya know, that flag really offends me and is against my beliefs, I really wish that it would stop being so prominently displayed in the media now"...they'd be brushed off and ignored with teh quickness.
Everyone is equal! We're all one!!*
*unless you like something I don't..then you're gonna have to appease me and change it to make me feel better.

Well it's right as an American.

For the record, I don't own a Confederate flag, nor do I own anything that has the flag on it. I can't remember a time in my life that I ever have. However, it doesn't mean that I don't agree with Charlie's commentary and disagree with the sudden faux outrage by everyone who is suddenly offended by the symbol.

you fricking dipshit
The decision was made for him. The pop culture pc gestapo is like the mob, but instead of collecting money they make you say what they want you to say.
I am going to laugh at you frickers when it turns against you.

I suspect Bubba is more concerned with making the cut in this weeks tournament than what flag is painted atop his "play" car.

He's bowing to political pressure instead of standing up like a man.
What makes it even more fricked up is that this is just something he personally owns as a individual. It has zero connection with Bubba Watson the golfer or pitch man for whatever product. Even with all of the flack the flag is taken I doubt anyone would have had much to say if he had sent out a press release saying. The car is in my personal collection and has nothing to do with the current drama. It was a prop on he famous TV show that was set in my home state of Georgia and I will be keeping it in its traditional paint scheme complete with the flag.
But no he had to go the pussy route.

Were people giving him crap about the car to begin with?
