Bowers is the best player in college football. Only a retard wouldnt say losing him hurts. However we have an immense amount of offensive talent and more than enough to beat those teams you mentioned.

The operation is a syndesmosis repair. The fact people refer to it as Tight Rope surgery is due to Arthrex’s marketing. There is a very good chance the surgeon might not even use a Tightrope and use another suture button from another company.
So you realize the general public is going to use a layman’s term for the surgery and not call it a syndesmosis repair because most people can’t even pronounce that.

Kirby should have sit him out during all of those cupcake games. Kirby only cares about Kirby. He does not give a frick about his player's safety - especially when they are playing cupcake games every week.

I’ve done the operation. I used to use it on most of my ankle fractures. I know very well what it is.

I’m a GT guy thru and thru. And even I like Bowers. Dude is a baller and recruited himself to UGA from Cali. It’s an awesome story. He should absolutely never play a down in college again and most rational UGA fans say the same. He has already given everything to UGA. He and Kirby need to look at his future. More than likely, Bowers decides to play again once cleared and most likely he’ll be fine health wise heading into the combine. But what if he isn’t? What if this kid loses millions? The shelf life for a paid position in the NFL is minuscule. He has already delivered UGA 40 years of bragging rights.

Ok? The post I relied to was about sitting out a presumably healthy bowers in “cupcake” games. Wtf does that have to do with anything about how he should handle his final few college games after the injury?

We still have everything in front of us so our season is indeed not "over."

Georgia's top 2 WRs are 20th and 25th in the SEC in receiving yards. They don't have any All-SEC type players at any of the skill positions. The passing attack is going to struggle without Bowers. The rushing game is above average but well below recent UGA standards. I think the offense will struggle vs Florida and Mizzou. If UGA gets into a shootout vs Kiffin/Ole Miss then that could be a dangerous game for them too.

eta: The blowout win vs Kentucky made it a little too easy to overlook 24-14 win at home vs USCe (2-4) and a 27-20 win vs a Auburn (3-3) team. Georgia has 1 FBS win over a team above 0.500 (Kentucky). I'm just saying there is a CHANCE that Georgia's strength of schedule has been hiding some offensive flaws that may show themselves vs better team.

Alternatively we now focus more of our passing attack towards receivers than our TE, for that we have several talented players

UGA is one of two teams, the other being Oregon, that are top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency.

We will be fine, if we drop a game, it won't be solely because we are without Bowers. And even if we do drop a game, he comes back by the time the games really start to matter. Season still has a good chance to end in a threepeat.

I agree. I really think the rest of the season sets up well for LSU.

LSU is gonna run the table and finish 11-2. Offense is just unreal.
