We already knew Hoke was the lamest of the lame duck coaches, but now it appears he might not make it through October (if he even makes it to October). After leaving his concussed QB in the game against Minnesota, a game in which they got crushed, he's getting ripped all over the country by fans and media alike. Looks like the Michigan student paper has called on him to be fired immediately, and him leaving the QB in the game led the ABC and NBC morning talk shows this morning.

Michigan Daily

Per MLive, his buyout is only $2M. Getting rid of him now would definitely give them a head start on their coaching search.

Did he leave him in after an injury or something? I never saw the whole story.

He'd be done in Goodell's league
Haven't seen any video of it but if so no way that kid should have been playing especially with all the lawsuits we've seen.

He was evaluated on the sideline and given the "OK" by the team doctors. He came back in for ONE play to handoff the ball.

Really? Risking a 20 year old kid's health and well being is way over blown?

He deserves every ounce of grief. The kid was already visibly hobbled before he took a blow to the head (that should've gotten an ejection). Hoke came off as having some twisted agenda for not putting Gardner in - who had been warming up for 20mins after the first injury. The whole stadium was groaning, the announcers were going crazy. The QB might as well of had cartoon f#%king bluebirds flying around his helmet.

The sheer optics of that sh#tshow should be enough to get him packing.

well you're just as ignorant as Hoke

the kid was already playing on one leg and then was clearly wobbly after a helmet to the face. If Hoke couldn't see that while they were getting beat 30-7 he is damn fool. IDGAF if the kid wanted to stay on the field. NO shite he wanted to stay. He was f-ing concussed. My teammates had to drag me off the field when I got one during a game in high school b/c I flat out didn't know what the hell was going on and thought I was ok.

Sorry I didn't know you were his primary physician. The Michigan Dr on the sideline disagreed with you.

It takes the NFL 15 minutes to figure out if someone has a concussion, but the UM team docs can do it in a play. Got it.

Also, they didnt evaluate him for a concussion. They checked his ankle.

That kid looks like he sucks regardless. I havent watched michigan since the app state game. Has Gardner been so bad that this scrub replaced him?
