Once my son graduates HS I'm in.

Planning to bring in Shane Reynolds as my pitching coach.

Missed the Jeff Kent bomb unfortunately. Would usually go to one home game each series. Missed the World Series since we didn't make it to game five but I wasn't too disappointed

Everett, another subpar hitter that won me over those playoffs

You are easy to win over.

He hit like .090.

Clemens, Pettite, and Oswalt: countered with Lane, Everett, the other USC reject I can't remember from mental scarring, Ensberg!

What a fricking lineup!

LOL

Only came to bat when there was a runner on third with less than two outs, and couldn't get it to the outfield!

Biggio, Bagwell, and Clemens pumping juice for nothing!

Taveras single handedly made me lose an eyeball and a lung.

I really miss those days.....

Oh shite it was Chris Burke!

Jesus that Astros lineup was just full of studs

Completely forgot it was Pumas grand slam that set it all up. Reading that game recap is giving me chills again...can't wait for Minute Maid to be rocking again.

And frick Selig for making us open the roof for the World Series

Me too Sparty. I'm just glad it's not Mclendon or LaMont.

I'd take him over Eric Wedge for sure.

It will be interesting to see Ausmus come in and try to handle this team and their stars. If Mclendon or LaMont were to become manager, at the very least they'd be familiar with the personalities of the clubhouse.

I'm excited for this hire, hopefully it helps us take that final step while our window is still open.

The Tigers still have a lot of question marks on their roster, with Benoit, Infante, Peralta as free agents. They're still not 100% on Benoit, and waiting on Rondon to be "the guy" could be problematic, like I have seen in the past with power arms. Prince Fielder in the postseason is still a liability, even though he'll get his RBIs in the regular season. And it looks like Pena is gone behind the plate, even though I liked him a lot as a backup. If the starting pitching keeps rolling though, and guys stay healthy, I see this team back in the playoffs.

Anyone following Leyland is an immediate upgrade though
