In the letter, Bonine details the current select/nonselect school issues and closes by saying: “Simply put … we are a proverbial dumpster fire!”

Bonine attached a picture of a burning garbage container.

There isn't many organizations in Louisiana that aren't a dumpster fire.

The officials' association recognizes the dumpster fire, and is in scramble mode. A split is coming. Do both sides of the split use the same group of officials? Is there a bidding war to the point the schools with the most money get the best officials? Does it trickle down to championship games in the dome vs. Pan American?

From everything I've heard/read they are trying to setup to begin a new association for the 2017/2018 school year.

Doyle’s Tommy Hodges made more pointed comments.

“I’d like to apologize to all the schools in the state of Louisiana as a member of the executive committee,” Hodges said. “I’ve had the chance to read it several times since someone sent it to me.

“There were several things I didn’t agree with, especially the last three statements. It says the majority could care less about it as long as they get in the playoffs regardless of what their record is. I don’t think that’s true. It also says ‘our once proud association.’ I think our association is still proud. The last statement about the dumpster is an insult to our schools and our athletes.”

The OT would take a principal to task for how much less he could care.

Actually I don't keep up with what has happened in the last ten years. Can someone give me cliff notes?

Hodges has sounded like a douche since the beginning of all of this. Some small private school has given him an extreme case of butthurt.

Bonine's been trying to fix everything Henderson broke... the push back is just too strong

and Bonine's 100% correct... the LHSAA is a complete

TL;DR version...

way too many state champions are being crowned in LA all b/c some small public schools got butthurt that they had to deal with Evangel and Curtis being in their district and/or class

The funny thing is that he went to a private school in high school.

Bonine being a little too honest, is he trying to get fired by humiliating the LHSAA?

the problem is he knew before the last vote that the LHSAA was a sinking ship... and when they voted not to make a change... the ship was headed straight for Davey Jones locker

so Bonine's essentially like "if I'm going down with this ship I'm taking as many of you with me"

go ahead and let the truth flow
