They have every advantage over Michigan. And the biggest, recruiting.
No reason for a good coach to not win at Tenn, with the facilities, fanbase, recruiting areas, and lure of SEC.
THe SEC. Almost any recruit worth his salt in the north goes south these days.
Plus, the administration for UM is just 'tarded. It would suck to work for such incompetence.

what's wrong with the cold? A lot of people like it better than 105 and humid as shite
Hey, I like the cold, but the demographic who plays college football typically does not.

Based on results, perhaps UM should reevaluate how they offer kids. MSU players have been far more athletic and better than UM players since like 2009.
No argument there. Its definitely a developmental problem.

Meh. I think a few of those players were rated 4 stars only because Michigan went after them.
Ridiculous

How else does Michigan recruit like 12 4-5 star olinemen in 3 years and still have a turnstile at the position? IT can't be that bad of coaching can it?
Well they still are real young, but ya its coaching. Funk is a terrible line coach. Had 2 NFL tackles last year and couldnt do shite with them.

Hoke has done very well recruiting against those two schools
Based on results, not really. ND has outrecruited Michigan if I'm not mistaken since '11. and so has OSU.

Not at all
I could be wrong here, but isn't Cincy pretty much MSU/OSU/ND territory? ND and MSU due to the coaches' history in the area and OSU jsut due to fandom.

That could be the issue more than mis-evaluation. I"m not sure.

Ridiculous
Possibly, but a lot of those 4 stars didnt' really have an impressive offer list outside of Michigan if I'm not mistaken.

Truth. I feel bad for Morris because while he may be a flop, he could've been good too with his arm. No chance he develops under what will most likely be his 3rd OC in 3 years.
Is Gardner as bad as he looks, or is it all scheme? I honestly thought Borges' playcalling last year wasn't bad considering how terrible the line was. His OSU game playcalling was pretty magnificent.

Michigan has had a higher per recruit average than both OSU and ND the last 3 years. Brady is just a pussy and wont oversign

Very big step in the right direction, but you still gotta worry about an adminsitration that doesn't support its coaches. (rich rod)
You just say ridiculous things
A lot of recruits are going south these days, no?

That could very well be the case. I didn't consider that angle.

Rich Rod was a bad fit
He was not wanted there so they got him out. Rich Rod made big mistakes also.

I think if he went to OSU he would be a heisman candidate. Its tough to play QB when you get hit 20 times a game.

What would you have liked for them to do? He is 15-22 in 3 years and lost by 40 to Mississippi State in his only bowl.

Rich Rod was never going to successful in Michigan IMO.
He didn't respect the traditions, alienated people, and would not adjust to his schemes to fit the B1G.

Not that it has anything to do with the OP, but Michigan is like 1282772x better academically.

so then its not impossible to recruit up north?

I think rich would have eventually done fine at UM, he just made the mistake of not being a Michigan man
