Oh, I didn't communicate what I meant by that very well.

UM absolutely did the right thing by firing him because he sucked (he didn't have Casteel)

But RichRod wasn't supported from teh beginning. Even if he did a good job he was destined for failure.

The first 2 I'll give you, but adjusting scheme to fit B1G? That's a myth and just dumb. Good football is good football no matter where you play. Urban hasn't had to adjust his scheme.

Actually Meyers schemes were B1G schemes already. He just used "strange" formations.

The 3-3-5 was not sound for the B1G and Rich Rod refused to abandon it

While not my favorite defensive philosophy, the 3-3-5 can be effective against almost anyone. Rich Rod just didn't have Jeff Casteel to run it for him.

The 3-3-5 is out of date you're not going to be able to do much out of it at the upper levels.

It's like the Georgia Split 6, the Bear, and Double Eagle it's run it's course and people can manipulate it.

You have to have 4:5 ratio in B1G especially later in year.

It would be hilarious to see UT finally get Gruden...or to see them clamor for him yet again and have to settle for someone like Mark Hudspeth.

Yep, its a palace now.

Crisler is nice now, but it's nowhere near Thompson Boling, sorry man.

Crisler only holds 13,700 too. TBA holds 21,700.

WGAF about basketball stadiums?

This is a football facilities discussion. UT> michigan on that front as well.

The person I quoted that was talking about basketball facilities with another person.

Better job at this point? Tennessee. Tennessee has those three, ever so important letters sewn on their chest. S.E.C.

Now, the SEC bubble can and most likely will burst in the future. Michigan is the more attractive job ultimately. But, at this point, you've gotta go with Tennessee.

You need to take a hard look at Georgia and Ohio high school recruiting before declaring Georgia vastly superior. It just isn't true.

Georgia and Ohio are both in the top five for recruiting states and the difference between the two on an annual basis is small.

Honestly, the SEC West would be a great place to go right now.

Georgia is the only competition.

Depends on who you ask and what angle you're taking.

As far as recruting...a tough schedule is an advantage to pitch to a recruit. "You'll play the best and it will make you better"

As far as ability to win...obviously you'd rather the easier schedule.

With the right coach at UM, they can still recruit nationally where TENN may not be able to with Jones.....
