It's case by case. Some sports radio guys are salaried, but for the most part you are correct.
However, there are times when national programming is on and local ads still play so I naturally assume those are station money makers.

That's where salesmen come in. Buddy Songy is a total advertising three hours. Its what makes money for him. However he made a ton more money when he was on 1210 the score. Hardly anyone can get the station he is now. I am not sure how he convinces advertisers to pay for his show.

My favorite is Hanagriff. I don't find Moscona as bad as some do but he has his moments. Jimmy Ott is the worst IMO.

Chad Blouin and Ronnie Rantz/Joel Davis are entertaining because they're so fricking dumb. I mean Blouin is a high school dropout. Joel Davis isn't much smarter.
