Hubie.
Mayock.
Rick Barry. He suffers so though. It tears him up that guys have no clue. Hubie is inured to it, just damns them to their fate.

The most underrated guy is Charles Davis on fox. He used to do college football, now doing NFL.

I love collinsworth and Van Gundy as well. I'm probably in the minority, but I think Reggie miller does a great job; I really like his self deprecating humor.

Well, Hawk is technically play-by-play.

Yeah, but he still sucks.

For CFB I think Brock Huard is fantastic. I think Joe Micheletti and Fran Fraschilla are really good as well.

I don't think you're in the minority with Reggie Miller. I also think he's terrific.

I like Steve Sparks a lot.

He serves as the Astros Radio Network color commentator.

My go-to guys are Charles Davis, Mike Mayock, Joel Klatt, and Todd Blackledge. NBA it's probably Doug Collins and Brent Barry. NFL is tough because there really isn't any strong commentators, guess I'd have to with Collinsworth.

Honestly I like guys that aren't afraid to talk technical. I feel like guys who try to dumb it down makes them come off as they have no clue what they're talking about. Break the game down like it's supposed to. Use the complex terminology, if I don't understand it, it'll intrigue me to go research and learn the concept which immerses you in the game even closer.

I have always enjoyed the SF Giants TV personalities. If I have to distinguish the two, Kuiper is probably play-by-play and Krukow is color. They are incredibly entertaining even when the Giants suck, as they do now.

Surprised at the lack of Gary Danielson in this threead. He's the best in CFB.

I did too. The fact that he isn't doing live games anymore is a travesty.

I loved Brenly when he was on FOX Saturday games. Watched him a lot on WGN too. I wish someone would hire him again to do playoff games.

No one ever mentions him, but Tasker is fantastic on NFL games. I wish CBS would put Cross back on the NFL.

Eck, when he fills in for Jerry Remy on the NESN Red Sox telecasts partnered with Dave O'Brien...incredibly funny with all his Eck-isms. Doesn't hurt that he has HOF cred as well.
