Ryan Perrilloux hit a homerun over my head that i think landed on the moon. I didnt even move that ball was smoked.

reminds me of the greatest hr i ever saw.
the pony league park was up against the little league park. the 180 and 280 were on signage.
my all time best in a game smashed against the backstop of the further park so at least 461 on the fly.
but the best shot i ever saw was by a mcneese lb who was playing with us high school and junior high guys.
must have been 480. it was over the last fence and lucky it didnt hit a house. went into side yard. dont remember mcneese lb name.
ive seen aaron irl. moonshots but none really tape measure. the mcneese lb was the all time shot i saw.

I remember that fight, Monzone almost killed him in that fight. He was never the same fighter.

No, he wasn't after that. He was game as hell, getting up after every knockdown, but it was evident he was not going to beat Carlos, one of the best Middleweight fighters to ever lace up the gloves.

He did have seventeen more fights after Monzon and lost 5 of them before retiring.

Tony was a very good boxer, but was kind of feather-fisted. Out of his 60 wins, he had 26 KO's and in his 7 losses, he was KO'd 4 times.

I ran into him one night at the Galleria Cinema in Metairie and talked to him a bit and it was evident he was not completely of sound mind, and it really bothered me to see him like that.

He started his pro career when only 17

Played baseball against a kid that was drafted 2nd round for the Phillies. Knew then I was not MLB material.

Played baseball against a bunch of guys who had a ton of potential but none really went to be too great.

Andy Canizarro (St. Pauls, Tulane)
Billy Brian (Mandeville, LSU)
Jeff Winchester (Rummel and 1st round pick out of high school)
Garret Wibel (Rummel)
Wylen Guidry (Hahnville, LSU)
Blair Barbier (Brother Martin, LSU)
Wally Pontiff (Jesuit)

Watched Kerry Kittles put on a show against out basketball team.

Edited to add Mike Fontenot (Salmen, LSU, MLB) forgot about Mike and his Salmen team is the one who beat us in the State game my junior year. We avenged that loss my senior year, his junior year I think, on our way to a state title. Fontenot is obviously the most successful of this list too.

Garrett Temple

I held him scoreless.

Of course I was a senior and he was an eighth grader, but I digress.

Big Baby was on that same team. We did not hold him scoreless.

Patrick Willis' final HS win came against us in the playoffs my sophomore year.

Game was like 13.6 in the pouring rain. He was a beast of a linebacker, but that night I was more impressed by the way he ran the ball against us.

Glenn Dorsey and Skyler Green.

I give the edge to Dorsey though. Dude was fighting through triple teams and planting my arse all night long.

Tried to out-drink Shaq and Stanley Roberts one night at Sports Illustrated.

Didn't end well.
